The Butadiene Process is not a trivial application. It has a fairly long time constant and is not particularly linear over a broad operating range (i.e. some parts of the unit are liquid extraction). In any case, the APC can be extremely financial rewarding, but the problem must be approached with a fair amount of experience.
Has anyone got any experience with implementing an APC (DMCPlus)controller on a Butadine Plant. I am hoping to start a project shorlty.
